## Summary

The Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Ltd is seeking tenders for the provision of Temporary Power & HVAC services, estimated to be valued between £10 million and £14 million. The procurement process is currently at the award stage, with the contract recently signed on 24 May 2021. This project is designed to support the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, which will take place from 28 July to 8 August 2022, across various venues in Birmingham and the West Midlands, including the Olympic velodrome in London. This competitive dialogue tender focuses on delivering essential planning, project management, design, and operational maintenance for temporary power and HVAC systems, critical for both the opening and closing ceremonies and venue operations.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialising in electrical power systems design, project management, and HVAC installation services. Companies that can supply temporary equipment, offer embedded resources for engineering and site management, and coordinate logistics for large-scale events would be especially well-suited for this tender. As this project also involves discussions for future contracts for Commonwealth Games editions in 2026 and 2030, it is an excellent chance for firms looking to expand their presence in the event management and public procurement sectors.
