## Summary

The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is currently managing the National Neonatal Audit Programme, which is at the planning stage and involves a total contract value of approximately £1,024,679. The procurement process is open, aimed at acquiring health and social work services throughout the UK. Key deadlines include a recent contract signing date on 15th February 2022, while the initial tender period announced for submissions was set to close on 19th August 2021. This initiative seeks to enhance healthcare quality for neonatal care by measuring variations in service delivery across England and Wales.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health services, data analytics, and quality improvement solutions to engage in meaningful partnerships with the NHS. Companies with expertise in quality measurement, clinical data management, and healthcare improvement strategies would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The potential to drive impactful changes in neonatal healthcare standards means that providers able to demonstrate innovative approaches and successful outcomes will have a competitive advantage in this procurement process.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The overarching aim is to stimulate improvements in care for babies admitted to neonatal care by measuring variations in quality, experience and outcomes of NHS care in England and Wales. During this contract period, the successful tenderer will need to build on the achievements of the audit to date and enhance the ability for the audit to be used for healthcare improvement. Data is most useful locally for healthcare improvement when its provision to clinical teams is timely, the data is refreshed regularly and appropriate tools, support and guidance accompany the data outputs. The intent is for all of these features of the audit to be implemented and improved during the period of this contract. The NNAP data driven healthcare quality improvement 3 year aims are to: * contribute to achieving 50% reductions in neonatal mortality and serious brain injury * increase the proportion of: o neonatal services which manage core optimal start metrics to above 80% o babies born in the right place to 90% . The audit supplier will work with commissioners and funders to create a coherent strategy for how the improvement goals listed above, or similar, will support the organisations in the neonatal care pathway to try and achieve them.

Renewal: Extension of up to 2 years
