## Summary

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is managing the "YORbuild3 Medium Works Contractors Framework Agreement East Area," which focuses on construction works valued between £4 million to £10 million and new housing projects involving over 25 units. This framework, classified under the CPV category 45000000 (Construction work), is currently at the award stage, with the framework aimed at public sector bodies in the Yorkshire and Humber region, Lincolnshire, and select educational establishments in the North East of England. The framework agreement has a total value of £240 million and may involve projects with financial contributions from European Union Funds. Contracts under this framework are to be signed following a standstill period after the award decision, with key dates indicating the operational timeline is active as of April 7, 2022.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for construction firms, particularly those capable of handling large-scale building and civil engineering projects. Both larger contractors and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) meeting the technical and financial criteria are encouraged to participate, especially those experienced in collaborative working and innovative construction methodologies. The emphasis on performance, including social value and environmental responsibility, aligns with the growing demand for sustainable development in the construction sector, making this an attractive tender for businesses committed to these principles.
