### Procurement Information

DVSA have established, via the publication of a Prior Information Notice which incorporated a Request for information, that no competition exists due to the niche technical nature of the requirement. From a repair and maintenance perspective, the Speedoscope is a proprietary device to L.E.T. Automotive, the incumbent. L.E.T. Automotive are currently the only supplier capable of providing a speed measuring device that meets the DVSA requirements. L.E.T. Automotive developed the Speedoscope for use by the Belgian Government 15 years ago and these devices are still in use currently
