### Procurement Information

In order to promote the investment in UK space during official conferences and events organised this year, there was a requirement to display the rocket that will be launched from Cornwall spaceport as part of a Government funded 'Launch UK' programme. Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne is the only launch vehicle that has received Government Grant funding and will launch from Cornwall spaceport. As such, they are the only provider that can provide the required display. The applicable exemption regulation for this contract is PCR 2015 Regulation 32 Section 2 (b) (ii) 'competition is absent for technical reasons' as there is 'no reasonable alternative or substitute that exists and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement'.
