The primary objective is to develop and licence voices to enable young AAC users in Wales to have the choice of high-quality Welsh voices, regardless of which device they use for communication. An additional objective is for these voices to be for the general use for the Welsh public sector. ### Lot Information Lot 1 Currently within Wales there is no provision for children using high tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) to be able to speak the Welsh Language with a child's voice. The current provision is an adult male voice (Geraint), and adult female voice (Gwyneth) provided by Ivona. or to speak English with a Welsh accent. The primary objective is to develop and licence voices to enable young AAC users in Wales to have the choice of high-quality Welsh voices, regardless of which device they use for communication. An additional objective is for these voices to be for the general use for the Welsh public sector. Teenagers and older children also require high quality Welsh voices. We therefore wish to support measures to make Welsh accent voices, suitable for teenagers and older children, available on the same platforms.
