The instances are currently hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in London on the incumbent service suppliers AWS instance. Future hosting is to continue on the same AWS region and/or an alternative region in the UK. The instances are provided on a Software as a Service basis. Additional instances will be added as and when requested by Jisc The contract is for services provided on a time and materials basis. Additional instances will not incur additional licence costs over and above the agreed time and AWS running costs. Bidders can submit alternative funding models for evaluation. The contract also includes the migration of existing instances/data to suppliers AWS instance should it be required.
