By sharing problems, rare expertise and assets we support the growth of this new community through a time of radical business and national change. Capitalising on the success of the Lighthouse Laboratory to create a new facility for innovative diagnostics, biomarkers and complex medicines and develop the UK's onshore diagnostic capability and capacity and the associated supply chain - Translational Research for Infectious Diseases (TRFID). The project will create a national facility for testing and validation of new diagnostics, biomarkers and innovative therapeutics for disease. This prior information notice (PIN) is a signal of future intentions to the marketplace regarding the procurement of equipment for the TRFID facility. This PIN is not a call for competition. By publishing this PIN, MDC may avail itself of the opportunity to reduce the submission period from 30 days (with electronic submission) to 15 days (if the PIN has been published for at least 35 days and no longer than 12 months). A list of the equipment that may be required is attached with this PIN. Please note that this list may change as requirements are altered. It is appreciated that new items cannot be added to the list, but it may be the case that some items are removed following review. It is envisaged that individual invitations to tender (ITT) exercises will be conducted for each of the elements identified on the list. This notice is for prior information.
