## Summary

The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) is conducting a tender for an "IT Equipment Reuse, Recycling and Disposal" framework agreement. This procurement falls within the services industry, specifically focusing on computer-related professional services, and is set to commence on 1st November 2021. The tender is currently in the active stage, having a submission deadline of 6th September 2021. The framework has a total estimated value of £10,000,000 and will be available for an initial two-year period, with options for annual extensions until 31st October 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in IT equipment recovery, refurbishment, and recycling services, as institutions are increasingly seeking environmentally sustainable solutions. Companies specialising in waste management, IT support services, and environmental consultancy would be well-positioned to compete in this framework agreement. Participation can facilitate growth by enabling businesses to engage with a broad network of public sector organisations, potentially allowing them to expand their market reach and enhance their service offerings in line with sustainability goals.

## Notice

The NWUPC Ltd is seeking to establish a multi-provider Framework Agreement on behalf of the members of NWUPC, NEUPC, LUPC, SUPC and HEPCW for the provision of services for the recovery, refurbishment and repair of IT equipment to support the reuse and repurposing of equipment and component parts working towards or maintaining zero percent landfill. The service provided will be free of charge (though there is scope for paid for 'enhanced' options), provide environmental and social value benefits and have the potential to allow institutions to extract residual value from their redundant IT assets. The Framework will commence on November 1st 2021 for an initial period of two years until 31st October 2023 with the option to extend the Agreement for 12 months until 31st October 2024 and a further 12 months until 31st October 2025 subject to satisfactory Economic Operator performance. The framework has one lot only.
