## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is conducting a procurement process titled "Motion Control Spares and Repairs," focusing on the supply of spares and repairs for submarine motion control systems. This procurement falls under the strategic submarine nuclear fuelled category, with an estimated value of approximately £52.56 million and a contract date signed on 8 December 2021. The procurement method employed is selective, following a restricted procedure, and the relevant key address for delivery is in the UK. At the time of the notice, the procurement process was completed, and the contract was awarded to BAE Systems Surface Ships Limited.

This contract offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in marine engineering, technical support, and defence systems. Companies with expertise in providing in-service support for complex hydraulic systems and experience with submarine technologies would be particularly well-suited to compete in future tenders under similar specifications. The strategic nature of such contracts underscores the importance of maintaining and developing capabilities in advanced military technology, which can further enhance business prospects in the defence sector.
