## Summary

Sheffield City Council has completed a tendering process titled "Dementia Daytime Opportunities," aimed at commissioning high-quality, personalised daytime services for adults with dementia in Sheffield. Classified under the social work and related services category, this procurement involved three distinct lots focusing on different demographics of dementia patients. The process was conducted via an open procurement method, with the available contracts signed on 19 November 2021, aggregating to a total value of approximately £2,362,605 for the three lots, which includes provisions for both council-referred opportunities for older adults and self-referral options.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those that are innovative in providing person-centred support and activities for individuals with dementia. Organisations that can deliver high-quality, flexible services and proactively engage with both service users and their families will be well-positioned to compete for these contracts. The focus on enhancing social connections and maintaining independence for individuals with dementia opens avenues for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can offer tailored solutions within the community.
