## Summary

The procurement process for the contract titled "21.793 Primary Care Services for the Homeless" is led by the NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). This service falls under the health services industry category and is based in Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom. The status of the procurement is currently active, with the intention to directly award an initial 12-month contract to ARCH CIC, starting from 1st April 2022. This decision comes after the CCG faced challenges conducting a traditional long-term procurement process due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The deadline for submitting tenders for this direct award was 17th September 2021, following an open procedure method of procurement.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in providing health services, particularly those focused on vulnerable populations. Given the ongoing need for healthcare provision for the homeless and vulnerably housed individuals in Brighton and Hove, organisations that specialise in primary medical care, outreach services, and integrated health solutions will find this particularly relevant. The established provider, ARCH CIC, has demonstrated a strong reputation and experience in this field, making it imperative for competing businesses to highlight their expertise and innovative approaches to meet the healthcare needs of this transient population.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This notice is to inform the market of the award of up to a 12-month (6+6) contract to ARCH CIC for the provision of Primary Care Services for the Homeless for NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group ('the CCG') from 1st April 2022. Due to the Covid emergency, commissioners have been unable to undertake a procurement process to award a new long-term contract from 1st April 2022. Therefore, to ensure continuity of service, commissioners are directly awarding up to a 12-month (6+6) contract under Regulation 32, to the incumbent provider. This will allow commissioners adequate time to determine the most appropriate path to commission a long-term service from 1st April 2023. The need to meet the health care needs of this population is set out and demonstrated in the Brighton Placed Based Plan 21 [8/07/21]. Brighton and Hove have a high homeless population, with more homeless people arriving in the city regularly. Therefore, there is a significant need in the city to address accommodation and healthcare needs for this transient population. This service will provide Primary Medical Services and Primary Care plus Services to the homeless and vulnerably housed population of Brighton and Hove. This award is made in the context of meeting patient need, maintaining service delivery and quality, and supporting the ambition as set out in national and local plans.
