## Summary

The tender titled "Culturally Appropriate Advocacy Pilots" has been initiated by the Department of Health and Social Care in England, aiming to enhance community health services. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with a total estimated value of £609,000. The procurement will be split into six lots, covering various regions, including the North East, East Midlands, and West Midlands. Key dates include a market engagement session on 6th September 2021 and a bid submission deadline of 11th October 2021, with contract periods set to commence on 8th November 2021.

This initiative offers significant opportunities for businesses in the health and social care sector, particularly those experienced in community health services and culturally appropriate advocacy. Suppliers focusing on mental health support and those who can demonstrate quality service delivery, especially for BAME communities, would be well-suited to compete. This tender represents a chance for SMEs and organisations specialising in health services to play a vital role in addressing health disparities across various English regions.

## Notice

Culturally Appropriate Advocacy Pilots is to test the concept and feasibility of three different models of culturally appropriate advocacy in order to identify enablers and barriers to implementation. The findings from these pilots will be used to strengthen the evidence base and inform the design of longer-term pilots (subject to government funding) in Culturally Appropriate Advocacy.
