## Summary

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) has awarded a contract for Quantity Surveyor Services following an open procurement procedure. This contract involves the provision of two key personnel to support RBKC's in-house team with cost consultancy and quantity surveying across various projects within its property portfolio. The contract was signed on 22nd July 2021 and is valued at £1,440,000 over an initial two-year term, with the opportunity for extensions up to a total of four years. The services will be delivered in Kensington and Chelsea, UK, and contractors should be prepared for a demanding schedule, potentially requiring work outside of normal hours.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the construction and engineering sectors, particularly those with expertise in architectural and quantity surveying services. Companies with capabilities in cost management, contract execution, and commercial advisory roles would find this contract to be well aligned with their services. The high level of competition, indicated by ten submitted bids—eight of which came from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—suggests that qualified firms have a significant chance to engage with RBKC and expand their market presence through such contracts.
