The opportunity is a Concession arrangement with up to two (2) operators (subject to the Council receiving at least 2 suitable bids). The opportunity is estimated at a value below the threshold for Concession Services under the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 (CCR 2016). Hackney Council has however voluntarily elected to publish this opportunity on Find a Tender in the interest of transparency and the benefit of all suitably qualified Bidders. The Authority reserves the right to amend the timetable as the procurement process progresses. ### Lot Information Lot 1 The Council has already formally introduced 66 dedicated dockless bike bays, each with road markings and a cycle corral, to facilitate the safe deployment, operation and parking of Dockless Bikes by the successful operator(s). The Dockless Bikes may be unassisted pedal bicycles, pedal assisted or electrically assisted bicycles, which use Cloud or smartphone app technology to lock and unlock the bicycle and which do not depend on any on-street infrastructure to lock or unlock the bicycle. The appointed operator(s) will be required to deliver an initial quantity of up to 300 bikes and collaborate with each other and the Council to promote the uptake of cycling in the Borough and expand the scheme to up to 500 bikes or more in the Borough of Hackney, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract, over its duration.
