## Summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is conducting a public procurement under the title "Ageing Well Care Homes Framework," targeting the health and social work services sector. This procurement focuses on establishing a framework of experienced providers for care home services, including residential, nursing, interim, short-term, and respite care, primarily for individuals aged 65 and over. The procurement involves multiple stages, including tender updates, awards, and call-off contracts. The latest procurement activities include additional awards confirmed in March, April, and June 2024, with the total contract value per lot being approximately £100,000,000. The locations include facilities situated in Nottinghamshire, Essex, and other neighbouring regions, and procurement follows an open procedure method, allowing experienced providers to join the framework.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in care home services to expand their reach and secure long-term contracts within the Nottinghamshire region and beyond. It is particularly well-suited to SMEs and larger care home providers who can offer quality services within CQC registered establishments. The framework allows for extensive business growth by offering stable, predictable placements funded by social care and NHS Continuing Healthcare. By participating, businesses not only enhance their portfolio but also contribute to the community by providing essential care services to older adults. This procurement's competitive nature and long-term potential align well with both medium and large-scale care service providers aiming to consolidate their market presence.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Nottinghamshire County Council (the 'Authority') provided an opportunity for further experienced Providers of care home services (not individual care homes unless the Provider operates a single care home only) to join their Framework Agreement. Under the Framework Agreement the Authority will establish 'Call-off Contracts' with Providers who offer placements to older individuals, usually aged 65 and over, in CQC registered establishments located in Nottinghamshire (including Nottingham City). A Framework Agreement is an agreement between the Authority and one or more Providers, the purpose of which is to establish the terms governing Call-off Contracts to be awarded under the Framework Agreement during a given period. The Framework Agreement will be available for use by the following 'Customers': * Nottinghamshire County Council * NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Partnership (formerly NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG and NHS Bassetlaw CCG) Call-off Contracts with Providers under this Framework Agreement may be formed by the Customers for new placements as well as existing placements in care homes in Nottinghamshire with the aim of bringing all care home arrangements under the Framework Agreement terms and conditions. Call-off Contracts for 'Out of County' placements to care homes operated by Providers who are a party to the Framework Agreement may also be made under the terms of the Framework Agreement.

Options: Option to extend for up to a further 5 years in increments' of 12 months.
