## Summary

The Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom has completed a procurement process titled "Enforcer Remote Weapon Station Post Design Services Support." This tender falls under the military electronic systems category in the goods industry and is based in Basildon, Essex. The contract was awarded to Leonardo UK Ltd on 22nd September 2021, with an approximate value of £1 million. This contract is a replacement for an existing agreement set to expire on 31st March 2022 and was pursued through a limited negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice, due to technical requirements.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in defence contracting, particularly those with capabilities in defence electronics and design support services. Companies that specialise in military systems, particularly those with a focus on post-design support and modification for weapon systems, would be well-suited to compete in similar tenders. Additionally, firms with the necessary technical expertise to work under the constraints of proprietary knowledge and high safety standards will find opportunities to grow by engaging with the Ministry of Defence and its subsidiaries.
