## Summary

Scottish Water is inviting tenders for the supply of a multi-parameter onsite wastewater quality final effluent monitoring system. This procurement process is categorized under goods, specifically within the detection and analysis apparatus industry. The buying organisation, Scottish Water, is based in Glasgow, Scotland, and the current stage of the procurement is active, having moved through the tender process with a completed evaluation. Key dates include the signing of the contract on 30 June 2021, and the estimated contract value ranges from £1 million to £3 million.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in environmental monitoring technology and sustainable engineering solutions. Companies that can provide innovative, low-carbon monitoring systems, particularly those with experience in designing adaptable equipment for remote locations without mains power, will be well-suited to compete. Additionally, firms offering cloud-based data solutions and training services will find this procurement particularly relevant to their offerings, as Scottish Water seeks to enhance the effectiveness and resilience of their wastewater treatment operations.

## Notice

Scottish Water is inviting suppliers to express their interest in tendering for supplying a multi-parameter water quality monitoring system that is well suited to continuous remote monitoring of final effluent waste water. There must be an ability to adapt and customise the system to varying monitoring needs (e.g. removal of parameters that are not required) and treatment works design (e.g. no mains power, turbulent FE discharge). Easy access to secure cloud-based data is required as well as the provision of training as required. The energy used by the system must be from a low carbon source, ideally solar. Maintenance must be minimal, and when required, unchallenging and efficient. The system will be used to monitor final effluent discharges from waste water treatment plants to allow operators to understand performance and resilience and provide further insight into typical performance trends and unexpected events/pollution incidents. Estimated contract value PS1million - PS3million.
