## Summary

The procurement process for a renewable electricity contract has been completed by Suffolk County Council, a regional authority based in Ipswich, UK. The contract, titled "Renewable Electricity," falls under the services category of electricity distribution and related services. It covers a period from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2025, with the potential for a two-year extension. The procurement method utilised was a limited negotiation procedure without prior publication, allowing for the selection of EDF Energy Customers Ltd after an unsuccessful bidding process earlier in 2021. The total value of the awarded contract is £32 million.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the renewable energy sector, particularly those specialising in flexible electricity supply solutions and risk management services. Companies capable of providing UK Clean Electricity, supported by REGO certification, would be well-suited to engage with such contracts. Given the scale of the project and the council's focus on aggregated renewable energy consumption, firms with experience in managing both Half Hourly (HH) and non-Half Hourly (NHH) metered supplies are encouraged to explore future procurement opportunities in this expanding market.
