## Summary

The procurement process involves Jisc, a national education and research network provider based in Bristol, UK, which has recently completed a tender for a reseller agreement with Splunk. The project titled "SPLUNK Reseller Managed SIEM" is categorised under software supply services, with a contract value estimated at £2.6 million over three years. This contract was awarded following a limited procurement method, specifically negotiated without the publication of a contract notice. The award decision was communicated on 15th October 2021, and a standstill period of ten calendar days was observed, allowing for any challenges from suppliers before finalising the contract.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in the provision of IT and cloud services, particularly those with expertise in managed security information and event management (SIEM) solutions. Companies that specialise in software supply services or seek to expand their offerings by partnering with established technology providers would be well-suited to engage in similar contracts. The contract with Jisc not only creates pathways for business growth but also positions suppliers to contribute to a unique offering in the market, leveraging Splunk's capabilities in both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

## Notice

Jisc is looking to enter into a reseller agreement with Splunk to enhance the MSPA agreement in order to bring the benefits of Splunk cloud and its associated services to our managed SIEM services. The agreement will allow Jisc to continue to offer our integrated managed service wrap across both on-premise and cloud infrastructure. This is a unique offering only available through Splunk and we estimate the agreement will be worth PS2.6 million over three years.
