## Summary

The YORbuild3 Minor Works Contractors Framework Agreement for the West Area, initiated by Leeds City Council - PACS, is a significant public procurement process aimed primarily at construction work within the West Yorkshire region. This framework covers general building works and new housing and is classified under CPV code 45000000. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, with the tender closed on 17 December 2021, allowing various public sector entities, including local authorities, educational establishments, and emergency services, to access the framework.

This framework presents substantial opportunities for construction and related service providers, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in building works under £1 million and those capable of handling larger contracts up to £4 million, as well as new housing projects of up to 25 units. Businesses that focus on environmentally sustainable practices and social value initiatives may particularly benefit from this procurement due to the emphasis on quality and social responsibility in the award criteria, creating pathways for collaboration and partnership within the public sector.

## Notice

A Framework Agreement to serve all public sector bodies (and their statutory successors) and third sector organisations in the West Yorkshire (UKE4) as detailed in the procurement documents. The works involved are principally general building works and new housing, including contractors design when required. In addition some civil engineering works may also be included. The full list of accessing bodies is detailed within VI.3. Principles of collaborative working and partnering will be key to the relationships under the framework.
