## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is inviting tenders for the "Welfare Advice and Health Partnership (WAHP)" aimed at enhancing welfare advice services across numerous deprived communities in Glasgow, particularly through collaboration with up to 150 GP practices. This procurement falls under the health and social work services category and is currently in the active stage. The submission deadline for bids is set for 19 November 2021, following an open procurement method and open procedure. The overall initiative is specified to encompass a two-year funding period, showing strong organisational support for alleviating mental health concerns stemming from economic hardship.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in welfare advice and financial support services, particularly those with experience in health sector partnerships. Companies capable of integrating financial advice into healthcare settings will be well-positioned to participate. Those that currently operate within or have familiarity with Glasgow's community service networks could enhance their competitive edge. The potential for long-term contracts and collaborative engagements with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde could significantly bolster the growth and impact of such businesses in the region.

### Lot Information

Challenging Behaviour Rehabilitation Service

The Scottish Government announced a 2 year funding package to deliver an embedded welfare right service in up to 150 GP practices across Scotland serving deprived communities to help address growing mental health concerns caused by money and housing insecurity. This builds on the success of Glasgow's embedded money advice project which is currently delivered in 30 practices across 5 GP clusters; these services will be sustained via national funding. An extensive body of evidence demonstrates that integrating and embedding money advice in General Practice has a positive effect on patient health, reduces the pressure on Practice staff and enables advice agencies to engage with client groups who would otherwise not engage with their services. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) are seeking a dynamic organisation(s) to deliver an on-site Money Advice Service.
