## Summary

The Reading Borough Council is currently conducting an open tender for the provision of insurance services related to leasehold properties and equity share/mortgaged properties, with a total estimated value of £185,000. The procurement process, facilitated by Marsh, the Council's retained insurance broker, aims to secure Damage to Buildings, Loss of Rent, and Property Owners Liability insurance coverage, with coverage expected to commence on 1st April 2022. Suppliers interested in participating must express their interest by 9th December 2021, as the submission method is written and bids will be opened on 10th December 2021 at the Council's offices in Reading, UK. The initiative provides a significant opportunity in the property insurance services industry, falling under the CPV classification 66515200.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for insurance firms, particularly those specialised in property insurance, to engage with the local authority and contribute to a crucial service that protects both the Council's and Leaseholders' interests. Businesses that hold FCA registration and have experience in managing property insurance contracts would be well suited to compete in this process. By participating, these firms can not only secure a contract that potentially includes renewal provisions but also build a long-term relationship with Reading Borough Council, thereby enhancing their market presence in local public procurement.
