## Summary

The procurement process is led by Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM Ltd), which is managing a framework agreement for "Lifts Install, Refurbishment and Maintenance" across the UK. This framework targets the provision of lift maintenance services and is classified under the services industry category. Key procurement details include an open tender method with provisions for direct selection or mini-competition. The procurement stage is currently in the award phase, with total possible contract values estimated at £25 million per lot, and the contracts cover various geographical areas, including Midlands, National, and London. The dates of significance are the contract signing on 12 April 2022 and the anticipated call-off contracts which may extend for up to five years after the initial four-year framework term.

This tender presents robust opportunities for businesses in the lift installation and maintenance sectors, particularly those that already possess experience working with public sector contracts. Companies specialising in lift servicing, refurbishment, and installation, as well as those with capabilities in managing comprehensive maintenance programs, would be well-suited to compete. Given the consortium of 261 public sector organisations collaborating within EEM, including housing associations, NHS trusts, and educational institutions, suppliers can anticipate sustained demand and the potential for substantial growth through successful engagement with this framework.
