## Summary

The University of Leicester is currently inviting tenders for the provision of planned and reactive maintenance services for water boosters, pressurisation units, and sump pumps. This procurement falls under the industry category of repair and maintenance services of electrical and mechanical building installations and is structured as an open procedure. The contract is valued at £500,000 and is set to commence on 1 February 2022, with a duration of three years, and an optional extension of up to 24 months. Interested parties must submit their proposals by 12:00 on 6 December 2021, with the award period starting immediately after.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialising in maintenance and repair services, especially those with experience in electrical and mechanical installations. Given the comprehensive nature of the services required, including 24/7 reactive call-out capabilities, businesses with a track record in facility maintenance and compliance with legislative requirements would be well-suited to compete. This is an excellent chance for qualified contractors to engage with a reputable institution and potentially expand their portfolio in the public sector.
