Worthing Borough Council is entering into a 5 year contract with an option to extend it to a further 5 years for the provision of a temporary accommodation, including accommodation management services for homeless households that are owed a housing duty by the local authority under Sections 188 and 193 of the Housing Act 1996 or any other relevant housing legislation.

Options: The intial term of the contract is expected to be 5 years. The option exists to extend the arrangement by further 5 years subject to the Council's authority and budget.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented demand for emergency/ temporary accommodation that has forced the Council to use very expensive bed and breakfast and nightly booked accommodation.
