Options: 12 month contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months. ### Procurement Information The Continuing Healthcare Services within Nursing Homes across West Essex are currently operating with no formal contractual arrangements in place and have historically been spot purchased. This leads to a significant number of risks such as lack of provider due diligence, increased variation in pricing with increasing costs and inconsistency of services being delivered to our patient populations. West Essex CCG has been a partner with Essex County Council and the other Essex CCGs for a number of years to commission the Integrated Residential and Nursing Framework. This would enable a legally compliant route to market for these services. However, this has not been successful in West Essex with none of the homes within our area bidding to be approved onto the Framework. The Framework reopens every year and we are actively working with our local homes to encourage them to sign up to this Framework.
