## Summary

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is initiating a planned tender titled "Eurofusion Water Chemistry" within the nuclear reactors and parts industry category. Located in Abingdon, UK, this procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with an anticipated future notice date set for 1st March 2022. The purpose of this tender is to gather support for modelling and experimental verification related to water chemistry regimes essential for fusion reactors, as well as the development of a corrosion database to meet specific project timelines and design requirements.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly prime contractors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and manufacturers with expertise in nuclear reactor design, development, and testing. Companies that can provide innovative solutions for water chemistry regimes or have capabilities in corrosion mitigation will be especially well-suited to compete. Engaging with UKAEA could lead to long-term partnerships in the evolving field of nuclear fusion research, facilitating avenues for growth and collaboration in this cutting-edge sector.

## Notice

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is a non-departmental government body carrying out research into nuclear fusion as a future source of energy. At UKAEA, we are involved in the development of water chemistry regimes, corrosion mitigation, and modelling for DEMO and ITER via a collaborations with the EUROFusion FP9 framework. UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SME's and manufacturers for the support of modelling and experimental verification, and the development of a corrosion database which is essential in order to define and understand the required water chemistry regime in fusion reactors.
