## Summary

Historic Environment Scotland is currently in the planning stage of a tender titled "Request for Information - Staff Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment". This procurement falls under the goods category, specifically in the industry of corporate clothing. Located in Edinburgh, Scotland, the initiative aims to gather market insights regarding the supply and branding of uniforms, protective equipment, and tartan garments for approximately 1,000 staff members. Key dates include a future notice expected on 24 January 2022, with the award period commencing on 17 March 2022. Interested suppliers are encouraged to respond to this prior information notice as it will inform the structure of the upcoming tender process.

This project presents significant business opportunities for suppliers in the clothing and garment sector, particularly those capable of providing corporate uniforms, safety clothing, and custom tartan garments. Companies that specialise in sourcing off-the-shelf garments or have the capability to produce customised clothing that meets specific requirements (including various sizes and allergy-suitable materials) will be well-positioned to compete in this tender. By supplying a broad range of products that accommodate a diverse workforce, businesses can establish long-term partnerships with Historic Environment Scotland and enhance their market presence in the public procurement space.

## Notice

Historic Environment Scotland (HES) is undertaking market research in relation to the supply of a broad range of garments that are off the shelf which are predominantly made up of staff uniforms, personal protective equipment, and tartan garments. To better understand the marketplace, we would like interested suppliers to confirm that they can supply, brand and deliver a range of goods to 75 staffed sites which is in the supporting documentation. The response to this PIN will then help us decide how we structure the tender, either into one contract covering all products or split into specific product Lots.
