## Summary

The procurement process involves the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust seeking a contractor for the provision of professional services for capital design projects. This tender falls under the services category, specifically design consultancy services, and has been classified under CPV code 79415200. The procurement method utilised is a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, with the procurement stage marked as complete. The contract was awarded on 26th October 2021, and it is anticipated that it may involve refurbishment and limited new build works across various delivery locations under the Trust's management in Doncaster.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in design consultancy, particularly those that can act as a 'one-stop shop' design team encompassing various consultancy roles. Companies with capabilities in architecture, building surveying, and related construction services would be particularly well-suited to compete. With the potential for a two-year contract extension, businesses have the chance to secure long-term projects, thereby fostering growth in their operations within the public sector, particularly in health-related facilities.

## Notice

The contract is intended to cover a multitude of unidentified schemes following approval for the Capital Programme with the option to extend for a maximum of a further two (2) years, one year plus one year. It is anticipated that one or possibly two Ward refurbishments could be undertaken during this period. The work is likely to be predominantly refurbishment, however, there may be some limited new build works included on the programme. Appendix A indicates schemes undertaken over the past three years, to give tenderers a flavour of what can be expected but not guaranteed. The Design projects will be subject to the works as identified within the RIBA work stages 2 - 7 inclusive. Stages 0-1 may be included occasionally although it is likely the Trust will oversee this work. These stages have, however, still been included in your schedule of rates.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The essence of the appointment is to procure a 'One Stop Shop' design team, led by the Architect/Building Surveyor, however it is intended that all the sub consultants under the appointment have an equal role in taking responsibility for all aspects of design and delivery, including quality, cost and time. Under the 'one-stop-shop' principle, it is also intended that all consultancy roles are covered under the appointment of the Architect including but not limited to the sub-consultants listed in Section 8.0, where appropriate, acting in a spirit of mutual trust and co-operation.

Options: Two year contract with the option to extend for a further one year plus one year.

### Procurement Information

This was a further call for competition under the SBS Construction Consultancy Framework Lots 1 and 12.
