## Summary

TransPennine Express Limited is currently conducting a tender process for the provision of train cleaning and servicing at a third-party site in the Doncaster area. The procurement is in the active stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 14th January 2022. The services, classified under cleaning services, involve comprehensive care for the fleet of Mark 5a locomotive hauled coaches and Class 68 diesel-electric locomotives. Interested suppliers are invited to submit their expressions of interest as part of a selective procurement method, characterised by a negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the facilities management and railway support services sectors. Companies specialising in cleaning services, operational support, and maintenance for rail vehicles could greatly benefit from this contract. The requirement for a competent workforce, alongside adherence to railway industry best practices, means that organisations with experience in the transport sector and a strong track record in compliance are likely to thrive in this competitive procurement process, paving the way for business growth in a critical area of rail services.
