## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has completed the procurement process for the "GP IT Systems" contract, which falls under the IT services category, specifically consulting, software development, and support. The contract, valued at £2,850,000, aimed to provide necessary IT systems for patient administration and clinical applications across 219 practices in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area. The procurement method was classified as limited, with the contract being awarded without the prior publication of a call for competition. Key dates include the contract award date on 6th January 2022.

This tender creates significant opportunities for companies specialising in IT services, particularly those offering medical software packages and patient administration systems, due to the critical nature of the services involved. Businesses that are already familiar with the NHS contracting environment or possess experience in the healthcare sector may find themselves well-positioned to compete for similar opportunities in the future, as healthcare organisations increasingly seek to improve their IT systems and services.
