## Summary

The Communities & Housing Investment Consortium Ltd (CHIC), located in Birmingham, UK, has issued a Notice of Award of Contracts under the CHIC Wales Optimised Retrofit Installations - Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). This applies for the quarter beginning 1 January 2026 and ending 31 March 2026. The tender focuses on environmental improvement works and aims to enhance energy efficiency across multiple-dwelling buildings and houses within the UK, specifically the UKG region. The procurement is in the award stage, with the contract value estimated at approximately £10,000,000,000 over a 60-month term ending in February 2029. The selective procurement method, under a restricted procedure, uses award criteria split between 40% quality and 60% cost.

Companies with expertise in environmental improvement works, particularly those focusing on retrofitting and building upgrades, can benefit significantly from this tender. The DPS allows various public sector bodies and housing providers to access a pool of pre-qualified suppliers, fostering opportunities for collaboration on large-scale energy efficiency projects. It is particularly suitable for SMEs, with many bids already submitted electronically, illustrating active participation. Businesses dealing in construction, electrical services, mechanical systems, and sustainability consulting might find valuable partnerships and growth prospects through this procurement process and the associated contracts.
