## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is planning a tender for "Specialist Support for Young Victims and Witnesses of Crime" valued at £250,000. This contract falls under the health and social work services category and will take place in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Interested parties are invited to an engagement event scheduled for Wednesday, 9th February 2022, from 13:30 to 15:30, to discuss the planned procurement details, which is anticipated to be an open tender opportunity. The event will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams, and participants must express their interest in advance to receive formal invitations.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in emotional support, counselling, and social services for young individuals. Companies with a strong understanding of local services available for young people and a proven ability to deliver a hybrid support model would be well-suited to compete for this contract. The initiative aims to provide tailored support to help young victims recover from crime, thereby fostering an environment for businesses to grow in the public sector through specialised services focused on youth support and advocacy.

## Notice

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is looking for a local organisation to deliver emotional and practical support and advocacy for young victims and witnesses of crime. The successful bidder will be asked to deliver a hybrid model with staff splitting their working time between Cambridgeshire Constabulary's Victim and Witness Hub (currently at Copse Court, Peterborough) and home. Referrals for emotional and practical support will come via the Hub and self-referrals. This could be for direct support for a young person, or their families, to enable them to, where possible, recover from the crime they have experienced. Victims must be able to choose the way they want to engage with the workers with a minimum offer of one face to face session as part of a bespoke recovery plan. The provider must have a comprehensive working knowledge of the local services available for young people and their families and know how to access them.
