Overall, businesses engaged in innovative training methodologies and healthcare support services are encouraged to consider this opportunity for growth. ## Notice Provision of Anatomical and Simulation Facilities in support of the Defence Medical Services (DMS) delivered Military Operational Specialist Team Training (MOSTT) Course. ### Lot Information Lot 1 The Authority requires surgical team training that is achieved in the main by a 5-day Military Operational Specialist Team Training (MOSTT) course. This is delivered by a military faculty comprising personnel from the Defence Medical Services (DMS). The Tenderer is to provide facilities in support a minimum of 2 and up to a maximum of 4 MOSTT courses per annum to accommodate a maximum of 54 participants (i.e. 6 teams of 9 participants) per course. The Tenderer must hold Human Tissue Authority license and supply/prepare/maintain up to 7 (fresh or thawed from frozen) human cadavers in accordance with the Human Tissue Act 2004. Key areas that the Tenderer must provide: a. A simulation suite with programmable wireless mannequins. b. A number of classrooms equipped with audio and visual (AV) technology to allow PowerPoint presentation and DVDs to be shown. Flip charts, whiteboards and associated consumables are also to be available. This is to include full technical support to all provided facilities and equipment. c. Ability to take delivery of and store military specific equipment from other sites for approximately 30 boxes (approx. size of boxes will be 1 metre long x 0.5 metre high), the week before each course. d. A facility must have an appropriately sized room to erect a tent with the dimensions of 5.5 x 7.5 metres and height 3.5 metres, which is licenced for the use of cadavers for complex hybrid simulation. e. A breakout room with morning and afternoon refreshments, an onsite canteen for lunch and washrooms that should all be in close proximity to each other. f. The Tenderer must be able to provide a first course in September 2022. Cyber Security: The MoD has a duty to protect itself from Cyber threats and now we extend this to Suppliers we engage with. As an extension of the Government's Cyber Essentials Scheme, the MoD working together with Industry and other Government Departments, have developed a more robust Cyber Security Model, under the umbrella of the Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP). All prime contractors must have the cyber security controls specified in DEF Stan 05-138 (Cyber Security for Defence Suppliers), as appropriate to the cyber risk level specified in the contract. The Authority has determined the level of risk at N/A - RAR- HB5F46E2 as defined in DEF Stan 05-138. In order to do business with the MOD you must have the cyber security controls required as shown above. Additional information: As part of the tender exercise the Authority shall visit the Tenderer's facilities to assess their suitability to meet this requirement. It is anticipated that the facility visits shall last no more than half a day and shall be undertaken within 6 weeks of the Tender submission date with the time / date to be agreed by both Parties. Further detail can be found in the tender documents. Options: The Authority reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to extend the Contract for a period of up to 24 month. The optional extension period shall be 01-Apr-2025 to 31-Mar-2027.
