## Summary

Brighton & Hove City Council has completed the procurement process for Residential Rehabilitation Services aimed at supporting the recovery of adults aged 18+ from drug and alcohol addiction in the City. The procurement falls under the services category, specifically classified as "Social work services with accommodation" (CPV: 85311000), and involves two awarded contracts: "Residential Rehab Lot 1" and "Residential Rehabilitation Lot 2". The services, which target individuals who are homeless or insecurely housed, will be provided in Brighton & Hove, UKJ21, with the contracts set to run from 1st April 2022 for three years, with a possible two-year extension. BHT Sussex and CHANGE, GROW, LIVE are the awarded suppliers for Lot 1 and Lot 2 respectively.

This procurement offers notable opportunities for local businesses specialised in residential rehabilitation and social work services. Companies with experience in providing residential treatment and support for drugs and alcohol, in working with clients with co-occurring conditions, and with a commitment to partnership working, are well-suited to this tender. With a substantial budget, contractors can expect to deliver high-support accommodations, detox programmes, and comprehensive resettlement services, creating stable and long-term partnerships with the local authority while addressing vital community needs.

## Notice

Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking a provider(s) to deliver adult (18+) residential rehabilitation services to support drugs and alcohol recovery in the City. The Services are primarily targeted at those who are homeless or insecurely housed and will offer longer-term accommodation-based interventions. Accommodation costs will be met through clients' housing benefit (or otherwise self-funded). The services to be provided will include detoxification preparation and support (when necessary) through a recovery programme and finally independence and move-on. The Council recognises that one model of residential rehabilitation does not meet the needs of all users and that sometimes clients may need additional support and/or more than one period of residential rehabilitative in order to achieve abstinence and recovery. The division of the Services required into two separate lots reflects this position. Referrals to the services will be accepted from the Brighton and Hove Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service.
