## Summary

The procurement process involves a contract awarded by The Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside for "The Collection & Boarding of Banned Breeds, Dangerous & Seized Dogs". This service falls under the "Dog kennel services" industry category and is situated in the Humberside region. The tender was initiated as an open process, active from January 27, 2022, with the contract officially signed on April 11, 2022, for a value of £960,000 over a duration of up to six years, including a four-year base period with a potential two-year extension. The service provider is required to collect dogs promptly within a maximum of 90 minutes after notification from Humberside Police and must provide secure accommodation as well as appropriate care for the animals in accordance with animal welfare standards.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in animal care, kennelling, and emergency animal handling services, particularly those equipped to manage a diverse range of dog behaviours under urgent conditions. Companies with capabilities in veterinary care and those that can ensure compliance with welfare regulations would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The continuous nature of the service, which requires round-the-clock availability, also indicates that businesses prepared for 24/7 operations may benefit greatly in terms of contract fulfilment and potential future expansions within the public safety sector.
