## Summary

The procurement process involves National Highways, which is located in Birmingham, UK, and is seeking construction work related to its Asset Delivery model. The title of the contract is "SDF Lot 9 Area 4_ VVB Engineering (UK) Limited B," and it falls under the construction industry category. The procurement method used is selective, specifically under a restricted procedure, and has reached the award stage. The contract, valued at £2,779,392, was signed on 10 January 2022 and involves the delivery of various works including the installation of highway technology and safety equipment.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses looking to engage in construction and engineering projects within the strategic road network. Companies that specialise in highway technology, electrical installation, and various aspects of construction works related to road maintenance would be particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to partake, especially those with capabilities in providing innovative technological solutions and construction services that align with National Highways' operational goals.

## Notice

National Highways continues to roll out the Asset Delivery model to its operational areas. There is a requirement to deliver a range of renewal, improvement and selected small scheme construction works on the Strategic Road Network in areas utilising specialist contractors working collaboratively with National Highways to deliver these works. It is envisaged that this framework will straddle two Road Investment Strategy (RIS) periods (RIS 2 and RIS 3) enabling a smooth transition between them. Works for schemes have been divided into a number of workstreams that align with the contractors' specialisms, and will also include design. Bandings have been introduced into the framework model to differentiate some contracting terms between bands.
