## Summary

The Birmingham City Council is conducting a public tender for the "Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) Project," focused on youth education services. This procurement, classified under services and specifically aimed at supporting young people aged 15-29 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), is currently at the Award stage. The tender period concluded on 7 March 2022, and the contracts, amounting to approximately £911,205, are scheduled to run from June 2022 to December 2023, with significant emphasis on quality and social value in the selection process. The initiative includes two lots: one for specialist employment and training provision and the other for wrap-around mental health support services delivered to the specified target group.

This procurement provides valuable opportunities for businesses that specialise in youth services, employment training, and mental health support. Firms that can demonstrate expertise in working with NEET young people, particularly those facing significant barriers or mental health issues, would be well-suited to participate. The use of an open procurement method allows for broad competition, facilitating the inclusion of both small and large service providers, thus fostering an environment conducive to innovation and comprehensive service delivery that aims to positively impact the targeted demographic in Birmingham and Solihull.
