## Summary

The procurement process is initiated by The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for the project titled "1:1 Market Engagement Sessions - Nuclear Monitors Supply and Maintenance." This project falls within the services industry, specifically focusing on nuclear safety services, and is located in the United Kingdom. Currently, the procurement is in the planning stage with a significant date being the deadline for suppliers to sign and return the Non-Disclosure Agreement by close of play on 14th February 2022. The primary objective of this engagement is to refine the specifications required for the management and maintenance of the national network of radiation monitors.

This tender presents a strategic opportunity for businesses specialising in nuclear safety services, technology solutions, and maintenance support. Companies with expertise in radiation monitoring, data communications, and innovative technology development would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Engagement in this procurement process allows businesses to not only contribute to enhancing the UK's radiation detection capabilities but also to possibly secure long-term service agreements that align with the government's initiatives for safety in civil nuclear operations.

## Notice

The objective of this PIN is to invite suppliers to further 1:1 market engagement sessions in relation to the RIMNET Nuclear Monitor Network procurement. The purpose of the sessions will be to learn from market expertise, finalise a deliverable specification and confirm the market's capability to deliver the requirement. BEIS requires suppliers to sign and return the attached NDA by COP Monday 14th February, so that background information (e.g. full specification, Q&As from the market engagement survey sent in November 2021, monitor user manuals, monitor data displays, API Bridge specification, breakdown of service components which will need costing) can be shared. We would also like to advise suppliers that all sessions will be recorded to enable us to address supplier questions and finalise the specification.

The competition is planned as one lot which will include the procurement of new assets to augment the existing network, and the procure a support and maintenance service for both new and existing monitor types in the network (and their associated data communications solutions). The terms of the support and maintenance service will include (but not be limited to): monitor fault response and rectification, repairs, calibrations and performance reporting. Additional information: The agenda for the 1:1 session will be uploaded to the Tenderbox.
