## Summary

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is initiating a tender titled "1:1 Market Engagement Sessions - Nuclear Monitors Supply and Maintenance [amended]", focused on nuclear safety services within the UK. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with relevant market engagement sessions scheduled for the weeks of 28th February and 7th March 2022. Suppliers interested in participating must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by the deadline of 14th February 2022 to access detailed specifications and information about the procurement process. The services to be procured include the management, maintenance, and potential enhancement of the existing estate of radiation monitors across the UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the nuclear safety sector, particularly those with expertise in radiation monitoring technologies and maintenance services. Companies that can provide innovative solutions for radiation detection, alongside support services that include fault response, repairs, and performance reporting, would be particularly well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this procurement process could not only enhance market presence but also contribute to the national capacity for civil nuclear safety in the UK.

## Notice

This is to supplement the PIN that has just been published today inviting suppliers to further 1:1 market engagement sessions in relation to the RIMNET Nuclear Monitor Network procurement. The 1:1 sessions will take place during the weeks of the 28th February and 7th March 2022. The purpose of the sessions will be to learn from market expertise, finalise a deliverable specification and confirm the market's capability to deliver the requirement. BEIS requires suppliers to sign and return an NDA by COP Monday 14th February (the NDA is provided as an attachment in the relevant Tenderbox), so that background information including a full specification can be shared. Following the sharing of background documents, we will ask suppliers to sign up to a 1:1 session. An agenda for the 1:1 session has been uploaded to the relevant Tenderbox.
