## Summary

The National Highways is initiating a planned procurement process for an Owner Controlled Insurance Programme (OCIP) related to the Lower Thames Crossing project, aimed at fulfilling insurance requirements for this significant infrastructure development. Based in Guildford, United Kingdom, this market consultation does not constitute a commitment to procure but seeks to engage with insurance companies to understand market conditions and appetite. Key activities include responding to an Insurance Market Sounding Questionnaire due by noon on 25th March 2022, with a follow-up meeting for interested participants to share insights that will influence the procurement strategy.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for insurance providers, particularly those regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, to explore potential participation in a large-scale infrastructure project. Businesses specialising in contractor's all-risk insurance, property insurance, and general liability insurance would be well-suited to compete for this project. Engaging in this pre-procurement market exercise allows firms to align their offerings with National Highways’ requirements and contribute to one of the UK's most significant road investments in a generation.
