## Summary

Newcastle City Council is leading the procurement process for the NEPO603 - Tyne-Tees Independent Foster Care Services, which falls under the health and social work services category. This initiative is part of a Flexible Procurement Agreement established in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015, aiming to facilitate independent foster care services. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, with key contract values starting at approximately £1 and a contract period of up to 1080 days. Interested bidders were required to submit their proposals by 28 March 2022, with contract signing dates reflecting back to 25 April 2022.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in health and social care, particularly those specialising in foster care and related services. Companies of various sizes, from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to large organisations, can benefit from participating in this flexible procurement framework. Notably, firms offering high-quality care and social value will be well-positioned to compete, especially those with the capability to deliver services across the northeastern region of England and potentially beyond.
