## Summary

The University of Nottingham has awarded a contract for Dynamic and Correlative Imaging using Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (DCI-TERS) to HORIBA UK Limited. The contract, valued at £824,045 GBP, involves the provision of a state-of-the-art capability for physicochemical imaging of molecular materials. The procurement process was initiated through an open procedure and covered by the GPA. The procurement stage was completed with the award on 22nd June 2022. The opportunity was in the goods main procurement category and classified under CPV code 38433100 for Mass Spectrometer. The contract signing date was 22nd June 2022.

This tender by the University of Nottingham offers business growth opportunities for suppliers experienced in providing advanced imaging solutions. Companies specialised in the development and supply of analytical tools for molecular imaging could be well-suited to compete in this procurement process. The contract value of £824,045 GBP indicates a significant investment opportunity for suppliers in the physicochemical imaging sector. Interested businesses should consider the precise technical requirements outlined in the tender documentation to tailor their proposals effectively and compete successfully in the procurement process.

## Notice

The University requests tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified Suppliers to establish a contract for the provision of a state-of-the-art capability for physicochemical imaging of molecular materials with nanoscale precision at both the liquid-solid and gas-solid interfaces based on Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS). The single-platform analytical tool will be flexibly configured to enable molecular fingerprint imaging of materials significantly below the diffraction limit for sampling both liquids and solids, with near-single-molecule-level sensitivity, correlatable with 3D topographical analysis and other surface physical characteristics from a single nanoscale volume, and in response to temperature, humidity and electrical potential (aka "Dynamic and Correlative Imaging using Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy" (DCI-TERS)).
