## Summary

The Scottish Government's Office of the Chief Economic Adviser is conducting a procurement process for the provision of a macroeconomic model intended for economic scenario analysis and forecasting relevant to Scotland and the UK. The procurement, classified under programming services (CPV 72211000), is currently in the Award stage, following the completion of the initial tender process. The successful contract was awarded on 14th June 2022, with a total value of £578,840.28. This initiative, taking place in Edinburgh, aims to enhance the analytical capacity of the Scottish Government by integrating new outputs into existing economic models.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in economic modelling, analytical services, and software development. Firms with expertise in providing advanced programming services that can contribute to economic forecasting and policy development would be well-positioned to compete for similar future tenders. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can demonstrate compliance with specified quality and financial criteria, including insurance coverage, are encouraged to engage in this sector, which is critical to shaping government policy and economic strategy in Scotland.
