## Summary

Wiltshire Council is set to commence the procurement process for the "HE 1083 Chippenham Futures Road Main Build" project, classified under the construction industry. The project involves the installation of approximately 4.6 km of new road infrastructure around Chippenham, including a significant viaduct over the River Avon. Currently, the procurement stage is in the planning phase, with a provisional release date for the contract notice anticipated in April/May 2022. The delivery addresses are located in the UKK15 region, and the planned procurement method includes a two-stage Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) appointment using the NEC4 suite of contracts.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in construction and civil engineering, particularly those with experience in highway construction, earthworks, and related infrastructure. Contractors capable of delivering complex engineering solutions, as well as those skilled in collaborating during early design phases, would be well-positioned to compete for this project. With the potential for further developments at the Chippenham site, this initiative could lead to additional future contracts, expanding the scope for business growth in the region.
