Given the nascent state of this market and the types of products available, along with ensuring any product does not impact on vessel reliability, potential suppliers will be required to provide trial data (of use in 'real-world' diesel engines) and evidence of current, active, use of the additive in a heavy (bulk fuel) diesel transport environment. This Prior Information Notice is to establish products available on the market that would achieve this. The product specification is to be a combination of a Fuel Borne Catalyst (FBC) based on Cerium Oxide with the addition of a deposit control additive (DCA).
