## Summary

The procurement process is initiated by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) for the tender titled "H3AT - Process Inline Heaters", classified under the goods category, specifically heat-exchange units. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice anticipated on 31 July 2022. The proposed equipment will be required for the Tritium Plant at the H3AT Facility, which is under construction in Culham, Abingdon, UK. The buyer aims to engage with prime contractors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and manufacturers of electric heaters and power controller hardware to ensure sufficient production capability and capacity for the project's requirements.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in the electrical machinery, process control equipment, and engineering services sectors. Companies that manufacture electrical parts, provide engineering designs, or specialise in industrial process control equipment would be particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging in this procurement can enhance a business's portfolio while contributing to critical fusion research initiatives, with the potential for establishing lasting relationships with a key governmental authority.

## Notice

UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, electric heater and Power controller hardware manufacturers for the supply of 6-off inline process heater for use with Tritium containing gas or liquid media, associated power controllers, embedded sensors and cabling. Quantities and detailed specifications are to be confirmed following preliminary and detailed design. These inline process heaters will be for use in a number of sub-systems that will make up the Tritium Plant located within the new H3AT Facility currently in construction on the UKAEA Culham site.
