## Summary

The Southern Construction Framework (SCF) is being planned by Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council to establish a successor contract that will support construction projects across South West England, South East England, and London. This procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with an anticipated open tender process set to commence in June 2022. The framework aims to deliver construction works valued at over £4,000,000, with a capped value of £4.5 billion. An online Supplier Information Event is scheduled for April 12, 2022, at 10:30 AM to brief prospective contractors on the framework's operation and market positioning.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction firms looking to expand their reach within the public sector, particularly those experienced in large-scale projects such as schools, health facilities, and civic buildings. Businesses with capabilities in collaborative working under the two-stage open book contract model will be well-suited to compete for contracts in this high-value framework. The anticipated spend over the forthcoming four-year period is estimated to be up to £1.1 billion for the South West England lot alone, making it a lucrative opportunity for qualified contractors.
