## Summary

The contracting process for the 'Provision of Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2022-24' is being carried out by Hull City Council, focusing on health and social work services. The procurement is currently at the award stage, with contracts aiming to support enriching activities for children from low-income families across four distinct lots. Key dates include a submission deadline of 21 April 2022, following which bids will be evaluated, and the contract period extends for 1080 days, encompassing activities during the Easter, summer, and Christmas holidays. Located in Hull, the procurement uses an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime, highlighting its commitment to transparent engagement with potential suppliers.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in children's activities, educational support, and community health services. Enterprises that can demonstrate effective partnership working and deliver high-quality, engaging activities for children aged 5 to 16, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds or with additional needs, stand to benefit the most. The scope for collaboration with schools and local organisations also allows for diverse offerings, making it an attractive prospect for both established firms and smaller community organisations looking to make an impact in Hull.

## Notice

The scope of this project is to seek one or more service providers across all lots to deliver free holiday provision, enriching activities for children who receive benefits-related free school meals and other target groups, in the form of a Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF). Service providers will have to facilitate the delivery of Healthy Food Programme, food provided by City Wide Food programme within Hull City Council HAF service. Service providers will need to ensure staff/volunteers have appropriate food hygiene training as detailed within the specification. The Government has now confirmed a three-year programme of funding to deliver the HAF programme at the Easter, summer, and Christmas school holidays.
